it is easy to describe Success in terms of money, fame and reputation. but i believe that Success is not external. i believe that Success comes from within. My Definition of Success is to be true to yourself, and be true to others. that means, that you must cherish your personal ideal even in the face of adversity. i also believe that Success is not discriminatory. Success is not restricted to such a class of people, in fact, it may be achieved by any person irrespective of his race, creed, gender and economic ba(更多请你搜索：)ckground. a good example of Success is that of beethoven. he is one of the world's most famous composers, yet he was deaf. he could not hear the majestic pieces of music that he created. yet, in the face of this adversity, he was able to maintain his ideals--that of composing music.

to exemplify what Success means to me, i pose a question to all of you. what brings us together here today? i believe that it is the beauty of the spoken word. the effect of pause and the sound of rhetoric are unique to the spoken word. i believe the beauty of the spoken word is even stronger for those who have difficulty in expressing themselves. these people are reclusive and had their emotions hidden within them. i once went to australia and i saw two pictures, once was drawn by a normal child, the other was drawn by a child with social inhibitions. the picture drawn by the normal child was simple and plain. the other was life-like, full of details and imagination. what this shows is that these are ideas, emotions and feelings that are locked internally in these

children.

My ideal is to be the key, spreading the beauty of the spoken words to these children. these children have been neglected, but i feel that i can and should help these children to find themselves and be able to express themselves.

i realize that this is a difficult task, and there are many obstacles on the way. but i believe in My ideals and i will stick to them--even in the face of adversity. we should never have a premature abortion of ideals--let the child, let our ideals, stand the challenge. for a life without ideals is not living.

today i am very glad to be here to share with you My ideas of Success. what is Success? it is what everyone is longing times Success would be rather simple. winning a game is Success; getting a high grade in the exam is Success; making a new friend is Success; even now i am standing here giving My speech is somehow also Success.

¡¡¡¡however, as a person's whole life is concerned, Success becomes very complicated. is fortune Success? is fame Success? is high social status Success? no, i don¡®t think so. i believe Success is the realization of people's hopes and days, in the modern society there are many people who are regarded as the Successful. and the most obvious characteristics of them are money, high position and luxurious life. so most people believe that s Success and all that they do is for this purpose. but the problem is wether it is real Success. we all know there are always more money, higher position and better condition in front of us. if we keep chasing them, where is the end? what will satisfy us at last? therefore, we can see, to get the real Success we must need something inside, which is the realization of people's hopes and ideals.

¡¡¡¡different people have different ideas about Success; cause people's hopes and ideas vary from one another. but i am sure every Success is dear to everybody, cause it is not easy to come by, cause in the process of our striving for Success, we got both our body and soul tempted, meanwhile we are enlightened by the most valuable qualities of human beings: love, patient, courage and sense of responsibility. these are the best treasures. so now i am very proud that i have this opportunity to stand here speaking to all of you. it is My Success, cause i raise up to challenge My hope.

My Definition of Success in our life, everyone wants to be Successful and everyone has his own ideas of Success. some people think Success is being rich, and others may think it is being powerful. however, in My opinion, i think Success is being happy. not everyone can be rich or powerful, but every can being happiness. there are always these people who are very rich or powerful at last, but not happy any more. because of in the process of Success, they missed a lot, friends, interests, the company of families, for example. in this case, can we say they are Successful? of course, they’re not. knowing how to be happy isn’t enough for Success. we also have to know how to bring others happiness. may be a simple thing can work out as telling a joke for others or do some volunteer work. there is a saying: “a real winner is the one who contribute most to the society, rather than the one who is the most rich or famous.” in a word, if you can be the person who not only is happy himself but also brings others happiness, then, i think, you may be the next winner.

morning everyone! i am meng xianghui. i am very glad to be here to share with you My Definition of Success . do you want to be a Success? you will say “of course , everybody want to be a Success.” but what on earth is Success?

different people have different views about the symbol of Success. some people want to be the person like bill gates . but somebody think yu minhong is a Success. of course you can. there is no problem due to there is no clear Definition of Success. fortune, fame, high social status and the other things can be the symbols of Success. in the aspect of individuals, i think Success is an “inner peace ”.i mean to achieve a state of mind which gives you a meaningful and valuable life . you have a dream,you can do what you want to do and at the same time, you feel happy, i think , you are a Success.

in the aspect of teams, i think, Success is a special team-spirit which will give guide to the team members. a famous japanese cartoons—one piece. some of you know this cartoons. monkey d. luffy`s team-spirit is do your best then the straw hat pirates will be stronger. in some aspect, monkey d. luffy`s team has already been a Successful one. they have dreams, they have willing, they fight for their own dreams. i think that is the team`s Success.

to a country, the people of the country can live rich and happy life. all men have the right to pursue liberty and happiness. then i think, it is the countrys Success.

as for me, Success is simple. Success is joy, freedom, friendship, love and belief. please believe that you are a Success.

My Definition of Success

when we were child, maybe we have the same dream: making a lot of money, buying our parents a big house, owning a so on. however a dream is just a dream, for most people, which can never come true. after all, we are not all bill gates, having a patent.

in this world, with prices are going up, money can never be enough. at 20 years old, after thinking it twice, i find that what i want is not a lot of money, our parents need is not a big house which is cold and cheerless, i am afraid that your future family want is not you have a company making you very busy. so My Success is that our parents don't worry about for us, and we needn't work day after day just for money. it is enough if our money can pay for our life. as a saying which often be talked" time is just like the water in the sponge. squeeze it, and you will have it". i think it also goes for money.

a Successful man, having a permanent salary, can get on well with his workmates. if he has a few days off, he can take his wife and children to go back home to visit his parents, and share happiness and sorrow with them. at that time he can forget the situation when he was laughed in the company last time, and present work pressure. then he can have good feelings to work next month. of course, as a man, he should be strong, at least in facing difficulties. however, it should between he is outside but not at home. no matter what difficulty you meet, you should tell it to you family, and then do it like a man. only you do it like this way can your families feel they are important to you. and you will feel their support to you.

don't say you have generation gaps with your parents. they have also been your age 20 years ago. how can't they understand you? it is just because of your silent. a Successful man, he can take his wife and children to go on a trip or have a picnic no matter whether it is luxury. maybe they just cares the feelings with you. as you can think, how long have you accompanied them?

this is My Definition of Success--have a permanent job, know how to love parents, how to love family, and how to deal with the work and family well.
